Why SetFast Acetone Acrylic — Not Latex
Most striping contractors use latex paint because it's inexpensive. We use Sherwin Williams SetFast because it makes daytime striping possible without disruption.
SetFast is VOC-compliant per St. Louis County Sections 620 and 621. For fast-dry situations where acetone acrylic is not available, Promar Traffic Fast Dry is a comparable alternative — also acetone-based, also rated for daytime open-lot application at 15-minute dry time.

Fast-dry paint is only as fast as the conditions allow. We don't gamble with your lot.
Humidity Threshold
We monitor humidity in real time. If relative humidity exceeds 80%, we hold. SetFast acetone acrylic is rated to 80% RH — we stay below that ceiling on every job.
4-Hour Rain Window
We check hourly weather forecasts before and during the job. If rain is expected within 4 hours of any section, we do not paint that section. Paint applied before rain cures is destroyed.
Temperature Floor
Minimum surface temperature of 50°F for acetone acrylic application. Below that, solvent evaporation slows and adhesion suffers. We bring a surface thermometer on every job.
No-Cost Rescheduling
If weather forces us to stop mid-job, we reschedule the remaining sections at no additional charge. You are never penalized for conditions outside anyone's control.
24/7 Night Crew — For Properties That Prefer After-Hours
